We believe in the truth and authority of the Bible as the true, inspired, and infallible Word of God. Our faith is rooted in Scripture and guided by the historic General Baptist doctrines as outlined in the 1970 Revised Edition of Our Beliefs & Values. These include core truths about the nature of God, the fall of man, salvation through Jesus Christ, the believer’s freedom and responsibility, and the hope of eternal life.
As a Bible-based, Christ-centered church, we are committed to helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus and live out their faith in everyday life. Our mission is simple: Helping others KNOW Christ, GROW in Christ, and GO forth to serve Christ.
We are a member of the Flat Creek Association of General Baptists of Indiana and part of the broader fellowship of General Baptist Ministries. This affiliation connects us with churches around the world who share our commitment to biblical teaching, local ministry, and the Great Commission. The 1970 Revised Edition of Our Beliefs & Values, as upheld by General Baptist Ministries, provides the doctrinal foundation for our church family.
We are located in Cato, IN, which lies between Winslow, Petersburg, and Otwell. We have many congregants from Pike County, however we also have families that travel from Gibson, Dubois, Daviess, Warrick and even Martin Counties. All are welcome here!
